My name is Catherine Godefroy, I am a French photographer, living in Paris, France.
I am happy to say that now, I've realized my dream as a landscape, urban/architecture and interior design photographer. Everything is possible with patience, perseverance, study, practice and a positive attitude.
My story,
I’ve always dreamed to be an artist since I was very young, either jazz music player or photographer but I had to wait a little while…
I worked during 42 years in the tourism, travelling all over the world. One thing I never forgot to bring in my suitcase was my little camera. It was a joy for me to take images and especially to share them because I tried to put all my passion in it.
In 2017, a change happened in my life, I was sure it was the right moment for me to learn the photography. I started to buy books but everything was confused and too complicated for beginners.
So, I decided to go to a camera store and I met the right person at the right time.
I explained to Cyril that I was ready to learn the photography, and ask him how could I learn in a simple way for true beginners.
He asked me “What do you want to photography”? and I said definitely urban and city landscapes. He said right, from now you are going to follow different photographer on their You Tube channel. That’s what I did. I watched carefully to one of the photographers (my mentor Serge Ramelli) and I said to myself, wow that guy is a genius, and that’s exactly what I want to do, all of these images were so amazing with the right setting, the right colors, the right composition with a drama look.
I followed all of his courses on line and in January 2021, I was graduated of the "Photo Serge Institute of Photography Academy".
Since then I have a great need to learn every day and to follow photographers in order to progress. Learning is for life.
I am specialized in landscapes, urban & architecture and interior design.
